I am Sepideh – (often shortened to Sepi).
An adventurous and ambitious global citizen, with a can-do attitude and passion for cultures, causes and connecting to people.
I am devoted to be a force for impact, a voice for the voiceless and hope for the hopeless. I do this by breaking barriers and building bridges, connecting those with resources and good intentions to goodwill causes and turning desires to concrete actions. I believe it is my calling in life to help the underrepresented and underprivileged in this world.
My expertise and interests lie in cross-cultural interactions, social & behavioural solutions, global business partnership and diversity & inclusion.
I have 25+ years of experience working with prominent multinationals, with specialised knowledge in learning and development, human resources, interpretation, education, supply chain, transportation and logistics, asset management, capital funding, financial planning, corporate real estate, e-commerce, customer services, sales, business development and event management.
In 2017, having had two decades of experience in learning and development, I turned my passion for people, education and causes to my business and founded Prime Institute in Dubai, UAE.
At the time Prime Institute was the only exclusive cross-cultural training and consultancy provider in the region, with a mission to work with international businesses and multicultural teams to bridge their cultural gaps, and help improve their bottom line by incorporating sustainable diversity, inclusion and social impact strategies. In addition, during our one-on-one coaching and mentoring, or group training and workshops, I help individuals and teams tap into their inner curiosity and implicit beliefs to gain understanding and knowledge of how to value and share different viewpoints, clarify own unconscious bias, change perspectives and create a flexible attitude towards openness, acceptance and inclusion.
I also work with underrepresented professionals including minority groups in companies or as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) umbrella to determine factors causing hold backs and to provide targeted and practical strategies, tools and frameworks that will address these issues and achieve reduction in inequalities and drive progress towards fair and sustainable social and economical development.
As a female entrepreneur, a passionate advocate for human rights, and a mother of two future female leaders, I heavily support initiatives that enhance women empowerment, development and advancement through education and training. I support UN’s 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) and I am committed to my ongoing vision of make the world a better place by helping humanity thrive and communities uplift. I do this through dedicating my time and effort to volunteer with several community groups and NGO’s who are actively working on initiatives such as promoting gender balance, support economic justice, human rights and endorse high-quality education.
That way I leverage my understanding of diverse societies, reach out to unprivileged children and underrepresented women to help them have the right start in life, to make a worthy contribution in people’s lives and continuously expand my perceptions and promote my skills and talents as a lifelong student. Not to forget to constantly endorse gratitude and appreciation for the blessings that I have in my life today.
